C.F. Booth Limited is extremely proud to have been awarded its first Queen’s Award for International Trade. The Award is a true recognition for the endeavors of C.F. Booth’s loyal team of staff and we are delighted to have received one of Britain’s most coveted business awards.
Established in 1920 and with its base in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, C.F. Booth has grown into one of Europe’s leading independent Metal Recycling companies. Sustained investment in staff, technology and equipment enables C.F. Booth to be at the forefront of the metals recycling industry and able to meet the ever growing global demand for recycled metals. The company provides an extensive range of services including specialist forms of scrap metal recycling and the trading and processing of all grades of ferrous and non–ferrous scrap.
The business has seen major expansion in its manufacturing of copper based ingots and forged components for the marine industry, providing bespoke products through-out Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Asia, Australasia and South America.
Success has been achieved in the development of European metal revert programs for blue chip corporate companies, incorporating on site services and logistics, managing and recycling high value aerospace and marine special alloys.
This will be a major development sector for C.F. Booth in the next few years.
The Group now employs in excess of 300 staff but still has family firmly as its roots.
This was highlighted on 27th July 2011, when Kenneth Frederick Booth, a major force behind the growth of the company, opened up the business’s New Millmoor Warehouse facility on his 90th birthday.
Ken and James Booth, (Directors), stated that “C.F. Booth is honoured to have been given such a prestigious award; it really does endorse the fantastic team we have assembled. We are a very proud British company and are excited about the future. We are certain that this award will only serve
to enhance our reputation throughout the world.”
