AUDIO NETWORK are delighted to win a third Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, following previous wins of the 2008 Award for Innovation and the 2012 Award for International Trade. It’s a fantastic honour which crowns an incredible journey for the company.
Back in July 2001, founders Robert Hurst and Andrew Sunnucks decided to use their background in international music publishing to create a new music catalogue of the highest quality, bypassing the complex, time-consuming process of clearing music rights for use in film and television.
Now, 17 years later, the dynamic upstart has grown into one of the world’s largest independent publishers of world-class music.
Audio Network’s calling card is their crafted catalogue of 150,000+ high-quality original tracks. Created by 1,000+ renowned composers and producers, respected songwriters and both established and emerging artists, with up to 20 new music albums released every month. All of these are recorded at the finest studios, including 150+ sessions each year at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios. The music is then curated into albums and playlists, with access from the Audio Network website and through integrated workflow tools.
Audio Network’s sounds have made audiences all over the world sit up and listen. Iconic brands like HBO and Coca-Cola have told their stories with the help of Audio Network’s catalogue – and the great thing is, with just a few clicks, anybody from upcoming YouTubers to small business owners can get their hands on high-quality music.
From dramatic epic orchestral to gritty hip hop, hypnotic percussion to bluesy instrumentals, Audio Network’s roster covers every imaginable mood and genre. But what really sets Audio Network apart is the love of music that resonates throughout every part of the business.
Music has the power to connect with everyone, everywhere. To help amplify that connection, Audio Network has grown internationally, establishing offices in 9 different countries. This enables them to offer 24/7 support where it’s needed – for all professional users’ music and licensing requirements.
Robb Smith, CEO of Audio Network said, “At our core, we are committed to crafting and sharing with the world the best music from renowned artists and composers. It’s an honour for us to be acknowledged through the Queen’s Award for our strength in International Trade.’
Audio Network remains a dynamic independent music company, breaking down boundaries to deliver music solutions for creators everywhere.
